I put off everything for tomorrow-
The work, the laugh, the talk
And continued to live my life
Thinking ‘twas a pleasant walk
There was so much I wanted to do
I had so much to tell
But I left it all for the next day
A day that never came…well…
‘I’ll do it when the time is right’
‘No, no more work tonight’
Was all I thought and time flicked by
‘I’ve so much to do’ I thought with a sigh’
One day I was thinking about life
And I realized with great dismay
We’re all but mortals destined to die
What if it happened suddenly, today?
The ‘tomorrow’ I longed for would never come
And life would end without things done
All my wishes would remain Incomplete
And I’d die like any other one
I thought, why not live the present
Instead of lurking in the future or past
After all, change is a part of life
And there’s nothing that forever lasts
So dear friends do what you can this moment
Try and realize your feelings and dreams
So that if tomorrow never comes
You’ll at least be satisfied with what you gave and received…
